On 9 August, Laurie Ferguson attended the 23rd National Serbian Folkloric Festival at the Bonnyrigg Sports Club.
The parliamentary secretary commended Aleksandar Cupic for his leadership in the community and his dedication as club president.
An estimated 10 000 people attended the festival, including His Grace Bishop Irinej of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Australia and New Zealand and the president of the Movement of Serbian Chetniks, Govan Pavasovic.
