The quilt was crafted by more than 60 Rosemeadow and Ambarvale residents, in Sydney's south west, to promote the message of respect and acceptance. The Harmony Quilt was made up from 12 blocks of nine squares with a border around each block. The border was made out of green strips and yellow corner squares, which represented the Australian green and gold. A fabric called 'Gathering Bush Tomatoes', designed by Audrey Nungarrai, was added to the border to represent the traditional owners of the land.
