On April 24, Laurie Ferguson was in Adelaide to launch the Multicultural Youth of South Australia (MYSA) project Seeing Red: A Facilitation Manual for Responding to Anger and Violence among Culturally Diverse Young Men.

The manual was developed to address issues of acceptance and understanding faced by young men from diverse cultural backgrounds. It provides information and practical strategies to engage with youth and develop their life skills. The project also included a workshop and training support for local service providers working with multicultural youth.

At the launch, Mr Ferguson highlighted the importance of supporting youth in their transition to a new community and country, he also commended the achievements of the participants and the dedication of project staff.

MYSA was granted $39 550 by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) under the 2007 Living in Harmony Community Funding round.
