The Parliamentary Secretary for Multicultural Affairs and Settlement Services, Laurie Ferguson attended the DIAC end of year function along with more than 400 people including office bearers of community organisations, settlement workers from organisations funded by DIAC under the Settlement Grants Program (SGP) and the Integrated Humanitarian Settlement Scheme (IHSS), managers of Migrant Resource Centres (MRC) and Migrant Service Agencies (MSA), members of the consular corps, representatives of Commonwealth and state agencies, members of the business community and representatives from ethnic and mainstream media outlets in Victoria. The function was held to acknowledge the ongoing work and contribution made by community and stakeholder groups in Victoria in assisting the department achieve its goals.
